Sound Bath + Somatic Yoga Series

  • Newtown Wellness Collective 75 Glen Road Newtown, CT, 06482 United States (map)

Our Sound Bath + Somatic Yoga series weaves together gentle, body-led movement with the deeply restorative vibrations of crystal singing bowls. Co-facilitated with Elaine Gallas, Somatic Psychotherapist and RYT, these monthly gatherings invite the nervous system to soften, release stored tension, and settle into a state of calm presence. Somatic yoga helps participants reconnect with internal cues and restore ease in the body, while the sound bath supports emotional unwinding, energetic alignment, and deep rest. Each month offers a new theme and intention, creating a supportive ritual for grounding, replenishment, and inner renewal.

JANUARY 23 THEME

Becoming is a gentle, supportive somatic and sound-based experience designed to help you attune to your inner wisdom and feel into what is naturally emerging as the new year unfolds. Rather than striving or forcing change, this practice invites you to water the seeds already planted - through presence, clarity, and embodied attention - creating the conditions for growth in 2026.

This experience is thoughtfully connected to our Winter Solstice gathering, where reflection and intention were explored. For those who attended, Becoming offers space to sense how those intentions may be taking root. For those who did not, this practice stands fully on its own - an opportunity to orient inward, cultivate clarity, and explore what feels meaningful as the year begins. If intention-setting feels supportive, space will be held for that gently and without pressure.

Rooted in curiosity and choice, this practice honors personal pacing and inner authority. All bodies and experience levels are welcome.

What to expect:

• Gentle, accessible somatic movement

• Nervous-system-supportive practices for regulation and embodiment

• Sound healing woven throughout the flow

• An extended sound bath after savasana

• An invitational, choice-centered space

This practice is for you if:

• You’re integrating reflections or intentions from earlier in the season

• You’re curious about what wants to emerge as the year unfolds

• You’re tending seeds of intention and manifestation for 2026

• You’re seeking grounding, embodiment, and nervous system support

• You enjoy gentle movement and sound-based practices
